Setup SafeDNS Using Norton ConnectSafe

As the Norton ConnectSafe is going to retire & discontinue and the service will no longer be available then there may be disruptions in browsing. Before the ConnectSafe termination, you can follow the steps provided below. Configure the network adapter settings & remove the Norton ConnectSafe DNS server addresses.
If you a Windows PC user, then follow these:
  • Press the Windows+R keys together and then you have to open the Run dialog box.
  • Enter the following text ncpa.cpl and then press the Enter key.
  • Give a right-click to the network adapter that is active presently and select Properties.
  • Click Yes or Continue on the appeared prompt of User Account Control for permissions.
  • Now select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) or Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) on the Networking tab.
  • Select Properties and then remove the Norton ConnectSafe server address settings. Input values 195.46.39.39 and 195.46.39.40.
  • Click OK in the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties and then click Close.
  • Once the network settings on your PCs are changed, you will get reliable protection against malicious & phishing websites but no opportunity to manage the filtering.
If you are a MacBook user then follow the steps mentioned below:
  • Open the Apple menu and select System Preferences to open sub-options. 
  • Select Network from the appeared options.
  • If the lock icon status shows locked status in the bottom-left corner then click to unlock. Enter the admin password & press Return.
  • Choose the network connection that you want to configure to access Norton ConnectSafe and then select Advanced.
  • Remove the two Norton ConnectSafe IP addresses that you included for the content filtering policy on the DNS tab. Now choose the IP address and click the minus sign.
  • Add 195.46.39.39 and 195.46.39.40 using the plus sign.
  • Hit the Ok button and select Apply.
  • Once you have changed these settings on your Mac, you get reliable security against malicious & phishing websites but no opportunity.
